THE C.H.B.A.The Canadian Horse Breeders Association was granted a federal charter and was incorporated under the Animal Pedigree Act. Its mandate is to monitor registration, identification, and the keeping of the stud book for Canadian horses. Additionally, it looks after grading. The maintenance of the genealogy books has been entrusted to the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation. Only members of the CHBA may register their Canadian horses. For more information, please contact the CHBA. The Association, headquartered in Québec, has members across North America. The five Districts under its umbrella, look after promotion, training, and organizing the Futurities in their regions. The Association is administered by a Board consisting of nine (9) directors: six (6) from Québec, two (2) from Ontario, and one (1) to represent the rest of Canada.
